In five weeks, the international tobacco industry will once again come together for the world’s leading forum for innovation, professional dialogue and business transactions. InterTabac and InterSupply will kick off in Dortmund on 18 September. That means eleven exhibition halls filled with a top group of exhibitors. New products and innovations from all segments, from classic to NGP, as well as from the entire production chain of tobacco products, e-cigarettes, water pipes and accessories. And a conference programme with valuable insights. The programme is now available online and will be continuously updated until the start of the trade show.
Dortmund, 13 August 2025 – Trade visitors can now find an overview of keynotes, presentations, panels and masterclasses here. A first glance already gives it away: Top international companies, associations and scientific institutions are sending their experts to Dortmund to share valuable knowledge with visitors.
From HnB to pouches to filters: a small excerpt
On the first day of the trade show (September 18), Blendfeel, one of the few companies in Italy able to independently design and produce liquids and aromas for electronic cigarettes, as well as the Polish chemical manufacturing and trading company Chemnovatic, which supplies raw materials for e-liquids and nicotine pouches industries, among other things, will be represented. Renzo Cattaneo, CEO and Research and Development Manager at Blendfeel, will for example present the topic “Redefining Tobacco: Authentic Italian Extracts for the Next Generation of Vaping. Blendfeel’s vision” (16:30 hrs, Room London). The company has perfected the extraction of natural tobacco aromas from raw leaves and thus offers an alternative to traditional tobacco.
Tobacco heaters and their development will be the topic of a panel entitled “How do I develop a HNB product?” (11:30 hrs, Room Brügge). The panel will include Maaran Nadarajah, Innovations Director at filter manufacturer Filtrona, Aron Byrne-Carter, Managing Director at NGP Trends, and Bruno Stefani, Product Manager HnB at paper expert SWM International. Trade visitors from the cigar segment will be addressed by Wim Boudewijn’s masterclass: “Building Bridges for EUCEG Compliance with TPDREG.EU” (13:30 hrs, Room Brügge) is the topic. TPDREG.EU B.V. specializes in streamlining and expediting European TPD registrations for manufacturers, brand owners, importers and distributors with presence on the European market. Scott Pearce and Patrick Anderson, President and Vice President of the Cigar Association of America (CAA), will talk about trends in the cigar market in a keynote speech (15:45 hrs, Room Brügge).
What visitors can expect on the second day
The range of topics on Friday (19 September) is similarly diverse. Martin Miller, Chief Commercial officer at PLXSUR Group, will talk about innovations in the field of Reduced Risk Products (12:30 hrs, Room London). The PLXSUR Group is one of the largest groups of independent vaping companies. Waqas Khan’s presentation will also focus on alternative nicotine products. The CEO of Clew Nicotine Pouches – Nevcore Innovations Inc. will be speaking on the topic of “The Rise of Tobacco-Free Nicotine Products” (14:30 hrs, Room London). Anna Balconi, Technical and Regulatory Manager at US nicotine expert Alchem NicSelect, will speak about “A 360-degree rethinking of the classic pouch formulation, in the search of the perfect pouch” (15:00 hrs, Room London).
Tobacco Harm Reduction is the focus of Dr. Yu Kang. She is Director of Research and Development at Chinese e-liquid manufacturer Hangsen International and founder of the Hangsen Research Institute, which is dedicated to providing high-quality and high-stakes research to support product innovation and development. Her presentation: “The concern for second-hand vapour – challenges and achievement for harm reduction” (13:00 hrs, Room London).
Finally, Jon Woods, Vice President, Fibers and Analytical Technology, at Eastman Chemical Company, and Hugo Azinheira, Executive Director, Global Research & Innovations, at Filtrona, will discuss the future of filters in a panel entitled “What’s Next for Filters?” (15:30 hrs, Room London). The focus will be on innovations, challenges and the impact of the evolving EU plastic directives.
