During the buzzing weekend of Vaper Expo 2025, SKE took centre stage with a sleek, high-energy launch event at the prestigious Park Regis Hotel in Birmingham. Themed “Same Love. New Era.”, the evening brought together industry insiders, media professionals, influencers, and some familiar celebrity faces for what turned out to be one of the most polished and forward-thinking events the UK vape industry has seen.
From the moment we arrived, the tone was set with champagne and canapés served in a stylish reception area. Guests were invited to sign the SKE wall, a symbolic gesture to mark the brand’s next chapter. The guest list was a who’s who of the vape world, with distributors, retailers, media, and brand reps from all over the country in attendance. It wasn’t long before we spotted Scotty T from Geordie Shore, now a SKE brand ambassador, mingling with guests and clearly loving the energy in the room.

SKE’s ability to tap into pop culture and influencer marketing shows that they are not only staying current but are making bold investments in building a lifestyle around their brand. This event proved they’re serious about elevating their image and leading with innovation.
After some casual networking, guests were guided into a stunning presentation room. With panoramic views across Birmingham and a central stage framed by a giant LED screen, the setting was perfect for what was about to unfold. A SKE representative opened the presentation, delivering an impassioned overview of the brand’s journey and highlighting their commitment to the UK market. One standout quote resonated with the audience:
“Just last year, our lemon and lime flavour already makes up the most favourite in the UK flavour market – proof that great taste and sustainability can go together.”
As the creators of the hugely popular Crystal Bar, SKE made it clear they are embracing change. With impending legislation and growing environmental concerns, they are now pivoting toward more sustainable solutions.
“Starting today, we are making a big change: SKE will start pushing pod system products in the UK. We are focusing on long-term, eco-friendly solutions. All our products support the UK’s environmental policies.”
This moment marked the unveiling of a fresh new identity for SKE. A clean, responsible image that still stays true to the fun and accessible nature of their original products.
Next, UKVIA Director General John Dunne took the stage to offer insight into the changing regulatory landscape, stressing the importance of innovation, compliance, and public health alignment for brands operating in the UK market.
Then came the real highlight: the introduction of eight new products. These included four pre-filled pod systems, three open pod systems, and a revolutionary “vapeless” innovation that uses CAH (Ceramic Activated Heating) technology. This groundbreaking device heats nicotine-infused beads using a ceramic core, delivering flavour and nicotine without producing vapour. It’s a concept that could potentially revolutionise how and where nicotine is consumed—especially in indoor spaces, public transport, and even on airplanes.
Following the product unveil, the brand ambassador signing ceremony took place. Scotty T and the rest of the team took to the stage in celebration, and of course, Scotty was more than happy to pose for selfies afterward—we grabbed one ourselves and can confirm, he’s an absolute legend!

After the formalities, guests were invited to try all the new products, and as expected, the quality was superb across the board. The vapeless device was definitely the wild card—fascinating in concept, but something I’ll need more time with to decide if it has mass appeal among traditional vapers and smokers.
To top off the night, we were treated to a fantastic three-course dinner, paired with more fine wine and a smooth live lounge act that added the perfect touch of class to the evening. It was a great opportunity to network, unwind, and discuss the future of the industry with key players.
